Meet your Crew
-
Richard (Ralf) Powell
Rotational Co-Captain
Ralf has been a captain of large sailing yachts since 2010.
His sailing began with club and school teams on Auckland’s Waitemata Harbour in New Zealand from about 8 years old.
After studying and a couple of years working in an office Ralf decided in early 2001 to go and fulfil a desire to sail offshore, preferably an Atlantic crossing.
After arriving in Palma de Mallorca, yachting quickly became his career of choice rather than a short break. He spent the next nine years working from deckhand to Captain, with time in the engine room along the way, on the sailing yachts BRISTOLIAN, BRISTOLIAN II and NAOS, joining ANEMOI in 2017.
“Many ocean crossings later I still love getting offshore but really enjoy exploring interesting and new places. Taking people on memorable trips and seeing them get a thrill out of sailing big yachts is a great job!”

Laurence (Loz) Marriott
Rotational Co-Captain
With a career spanning over 30 years in the industry, Loz has a wealth of knowledge in all aspects of yachting. Starting as a water sports instructor on the Isle of Wight he moved quickly to the area he was most passionate about - sailing boats.
He started first as a flotilla’s bareboat skipper in the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Thailand, Australia and New Zealand. Then, in 2004, he was selected as one of twelve skippers to race around the world against the prevailing winds and currents in the Global Challenge - taking novice sailors on the world’s toughest yacht race.
In 2007 Loz made his first step into the superyacht world, joining the beautiful ‘spirit of tradition’ yacht GAIA during her build. His other commands include LIARA, GANESHA 1, PINK GIN and SOJANA, on which he has delivered the highest quality charters, regattas and world cruising programs for owners and guests.
Loz joined ANEMOI as co-Captain in September 2018 and is looking forward to welcoming guests on board this coming season!

Guilherme (Will) Swiech
Rotational Engineer
Guilherme grew up in Brazil and Spain. Before concentrating on engineering he has been involved in all aspects of yachting.
He has sailed catamarans as captain/engineer and both classic and modern sailing yachts as mate/engineer. He has also raced many smaller classes of yachts. If not sailing in winters he has been involved in refit and repair work on many yachts including mechanical repairs as well as boatbuilding and paint works.

Laura Heseltine
Chief Stewardess
Our Chief Stewardess, Laura, is from England. She started her career in the corporate world in London as a Legal PA, working in numerous areas of law over a ten-year period. After deciding that it was time for a change, she left England and travelled around the world for 18 months, during which time she accidentally stumbled across sailing and was immediately hooked.
After finding something that combined her passion for travel, love for the ocean and expertise in administration and event organisation, Laura excelled quickly through her new career. Previous yachts include NAMUUN, VIJONARA, CHRISTOPHER and SOJANA. She stepped on to ANEMOI in April 2023.
Laura describes herself as outdoorsy - she loves hiking, scuba diving, exploring new places and meeting new people.
-
Maxime Fuss
First Mate
Coming from France, Maxime is our first mate onboard ANEMOI, having joined in April 2023.
During his studies in watchmaking, he took a gap year and did a season on a sailing yacht. This was a revelation - so he quickly changed path and decided to start a career in the industry
working on yachts such as NUMUUN, VIJONARA, SPADA and CHIMERA.
Active in life, Maxime is always up for adventures and activities!
-
Enya Harmark
Deck/Stewardess
Having sailed in the Stockholm Archipelago since a young age, Enya is excited to join a sailing yacht after having spent the last year as a deck/stew on the 50m motor yacht VICA.
Enya comes from a large family so relishes a busy atmosphere and making the people around her happy.
She has a true passion for what she does and is looking forward to being part of the ANEMOI team delivering unforgettable charter experiences this coming season!
